Unexpected bath ingredients for soft, glowing skin
Not many people need to be convinced of the benefits of sinking your body into a hot bath after a long day. But though we can all recognize the stress-relieving properties, most people are missing out on a whole other range of benefits available in deep soaks, from detoxifying your body to softening your skin.
Milk
Cleopatra loved it, and so will you. While milk can cause acne and digestive issues from the inside, its lactic acid, natural lipids, and proteins actually exfoliate and nourish our outsides, leaving you radiant and glowing.
You can even go chocolate! Hello Glow recommends making a stash with two tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder (which gives a boost of antioxidants), one cup of powdered milk, and one tablespoon of corn starch, then using half a cup of the mixture for each bath.
Red wine

Honey
From moisturizing to anti-aging, and even antibacterial properties, honey is a powerhouse for your skin.
Try mixing a tablespoon of light almond oil, honey, and vanilla extract for a bath you won’t want to leave.

Bubble bath
As adults, sometimes we forget that bubbles are not just a way to get kids in the tub and that we too can benefit from a bubble bath.
Get one that’s lavender or eucalyptus scented, then enjoy making the most soothing bubble beards of your life.
Green tea and lemon
Adding three to five green tea bags and up to 1/3 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice is a wonderful bath soak recipe that will leave your body feeling bright and energized.
addition to green tea’s anti-aging benefits and wealth of vitamins, it also has a deodorizing effect. Meanwhile, the acids from the lemon juice will help exfoliate and brighten your skin.
Apple cider vinegar
This versatile kitchen staple can fight fungal infections on your skin, as well as body acne and odor, which comes from sweat mixing with bacteria.
It can also bring down the skin’s pH and thereby strengthen its natural barrier, which protects against bacteria, soothes eczema, and prevents wrinkles.
Though apple cider vinegar is a natural remedy, it can cause irritation in some types of skin, so start by pouring one cup into a lukewarm bath. Add 10-20 drops of your favorite essential oils, soak for 20 minutes, then gently rinse your body with cool water.
